World Snowboarding Championships 2012


Two key challenges. One: Create an identity with a visual language commonly spoken by the target audience, without alienating the general public as a key target audience for the event communication. Two: Develop a website that can switch focus through three clearly differentiated event phases: "pre event", "live event" and "post event".
To solve the visual challenge, we went with a combination of "creative" and "traditional" visual elements. The website was developed on a very flexible platform, allowing the organisers to easily switch focus during the lifespan of the event (pre/during/post).
The event was a great success. Both the identity and the website had the flexibility to perform as a marketing tool throughout all the phases of the event. As always, we created a video helpdesk with tutorials on all the functionality in the web admin panel. This saved the organiser loads of time and money when training new crew members in web administration on a regular basis.
